We chase connection to feel safe and become exposed; we seek belonging in tribes that never log off and tell us what we need to hear.

The more networked the planet becomes, the louder the call to take back control.
From Moscow to Mar-a-Lago, those who promise order rise on the chaos they denounce.
Dugin preaches mysticism through the feeds he says the West controls.
Trump and Farage rally their base on platforms they insist are rigged.
Orbán, Xi, and Putin invoke “traditional values” while running the most sophisticated surveillance in history.
Each act of control tightens the net; rebellion becomes 躺平 — protest through stillness.

The Restoration Paradox goes digital: to restore the old ways, you must break society.
